Security patrols & visible presence
Agree the areas, hours and frequency of patrols. Officers can observe activity, identify concerns and escalate incidents in line with your site instructions.
Parking patrols, visitor assistance and access support for commercial and residential sites. USSG helps property teams manage day-to-day parking issues, with clear duties, reporting and a named escalation contact.
Site-specific cover · Clear reporting · 24/7 support
A busy retail entrance, a residents’ parking area and a staff car park need different arrangements. Start with the problem: unauthorised use, confusing access, incidents or a lack of visibility when the building is closed.
Agree the areas, hours and frequency of patrols. Officers can observe activity, identify concerns and escalate incidents in line with your site instructions.
Help visitors understand where to park and check permissions against the records you authorise. Agree how staff, residents, contractors and exceptions are handled.
Set responsibilities for agreed gates, barriers and opening or closing checks. Technical repairs and public-road traffic management require a separate scope.
Record patrol activity and incidents, and report visible concerns such as damaged signs, poor lighting or obstructed routes to the person responsible for action.
Need a continuous officer presence rather than scheduled visits? Explore manned guarding services and agree the appropriate level of cover.
We build the brief around the people using your site, its peak periods and the access rules already in place.
Plan around trading peaks, delivery access and customer questions. Connect parking incidents with the retail security team.
Coordinate employee permissions, visitors and contractors with office security and reception arrangements.
Agree access responsibilities where staff, deliveries and multiple occupiers share entrances and parking areas.
Residential developments: we can also assess resident and visitor parking requirements. Agree how permissions, guests, contractors and complaints are handled with the managing agent before the service begins.
Before deciding on cover, identify where problems happen. An entrance queue may need a different response from repeated misuse of resident spaces or incidents after closing.
Where visible defects need attention, link the parking brief with your property maintenance arrangements.
Security presence and parking charge enforcement are distinct services. USSG’s officers can provide agreed patrol and incident duties. Where enforcement is required, the arrangement is made separately through appropriate providers.
For ANPR, barriers or commercial CCTV requirements, agree the specialist supplier, technical scope and ongoing responsibilities before committing.
Already have a parking operator? Share the existing contract so the proposed support fits around it.
Share the site location, users, busy periods and examples of the issues you want to address.
Consider access points, existing systems, pedestrian routes and who currently manages parking.
Confirm hours, duties, reporting, escalation contacts and any separate supplier responsibilities.
Use the agreed reports to discuss recurring issues and changes in occupancy or operating hours.
Daytime support may focus on visitors, permissions and access. After closing, the brief may prioritise patrols, agreed entrance checks and reporting unusual activity.
Confirm whether you need scheduled visits or a continuous officer presence. Patrol frequency, areas checked and escalation arrangements should be clear before the service starts.
For continuous cover, discuss manned guarding. Where authorised access is needed following an alarm, review keyholding and alarm response.
Agree the reporting format before deployment. A useful patrol record identifies the time, areas checked, observations and any action or escalation.
Site planning should also consider the separation of people and vehicles. Read HSE’s workplace parking guidance alongside your own site risk assessment.
USSG’s SIA Approved Contractor status relates to its approved security activities. It should not be interpreted as approval for a parking enforcement scheme.
Review USSG’s memberships and accreditations and confirm the personnel and service requirements in your proposal.

The hours of cover, site layout, number of access points and duties all affect the proposal. A scheduled patrol service has different staffing requirements from a permanently attended entrance.
Technology, maintenance and specialist enforcement should be identified separately, so you can understand what is included and who delivers it.
Based in Stockport, Greater Manchester, USSG assesses car park support requirements across the UK. Coverage, staffing and any specialist supplier arrangements are confirmed for each site.
For a portfolio, share the locations and current arrangements so we can discuss consistent reporting and site-specific duties.
Where access and alarm arrangements need to work together, discuss keyholding and alarm response alongside the parking brief.
Agree any commercial cleaning or property maintenance requirements as defined parts of the service. View the full USSG services overview.
Clear answers about scope, parking operators, site cover and getting started.
An agreed service can include security patrols, visitor assistance, permit checks against your authorised records, access procedures and incident reporting. Parking charge enforcement and technical systems are separate requirements, with the responsible provider and scope confirmed before work starts.
Parking charge enforcement is arranged separately through appropriate providers. A security patrol agreement does not automatically include issuing parking charges, obtaining keeper details or handling appeals. Your proposal should identify the operator responsible for any enforcement scheme.
Tell us which operator manages the site and what they already provide. We can discuss patrol and access duties around that arrangement, with clear boundaries for incidents, permit queries, complaints and escalation.
Visitor assistance and checks against an agreed permit or authorised vehicle list can form part of the service. You will need to confirm who maintains the records, approves exceptions and handles disputed parking permissions.
Technology requirements can be discussed and arranged through specialist suppliers. The proposal should confirm the supplier, intended purpose, installation and maintenance scope, data responsibilities and whether any monitoring or enforcement is included.
Overnight, weekend and out-of-hours requirements can be assessed. Staffing, patrol frequency and start dates are confirmed for your site. Scheduled patrol visits are different from a continuously staffed security position.
We assess requirements for retail car parks, office premises, residential developments and industrial or mixed-use sites. The service depends on the layout, access arrangements, operating hours and the support needed.
Pricing depends on the site location, hours of cover, number of access points, duties, reporting requirements and any specialist systems or enforcement arrangements. Share these details so the proposal reflects the work your site actually needs.
USSG coordinates support from Stockport, Greater Manchester, and assesses enquiries for sites across the UK. Availability, staffing and any specialist supplier arrangements are confirmed before a service is agreed.
Send your postcode, approximate number of spaces, opening hours, current parking arrangements and the main problems you want to address. Include your proposed start date. We review the brief and confirm whether a site assessment is needed.
